To start off, we’re serious about movies. We’re also not serious at all. It’s an inner struggle we have to deal with on a daily basis. We love movies and we love to talk about them in deep, meaningful ways, but we also love seeing a guy’s head get lopped off by a machete. Why does serious appreciation and understanding of the artistic medium of film have to be at odds with serious appreciation of the banality and pure awesomeness of movies?
