Erik Oros

Erik Oros has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Team Leader at Engineering Science Quest (ESQ @ UW) from 2000 to 2004. Erik then worked as a Software Test Associate (Co-op) at BlackBerry from January 2007 to April 2007. Erik continued working at BlackBerry as a Technical Analyst (Co-op) from September 2008 to December 2008. Erik joined Aviva Canada as an Analyst (Co-op) from September 2007 to December 2007. From 2009 to 2015, Erik served as an Application Development Consultant at BlackBerry. Erik then joined IBM as a Senior Mobile Web Developer from February 2015 to October 2015.

Erik's career progressed further as they joined BuildDirect as a Web Developer from October 2015 to February 2017. Erik then worked at Shopify Plus, first as a Web Developer from February 2017 to January 2018, then as a Senior Web Developer from January 2018 to July 2019, and finally as a Web Engineering Manager from July 2019 to September 2021. Most recently, Erik joined MasterClass as a Senior Software Engineer in September 2021. Erik is currently employed at Float, starting from March 2023, as a Staff Developer. Throughout their career, Erik has gained experience in various roles, including development, management, and analysis, using technologies like React and TypeScript.

From 2004 to 2009, Erik Oros attended Wilfrid Laurier University, where they pursued a dual degree in Honours Business Administration and Honours Computer Science. During their time there, they studied various subjects including Marketing, Business Strategy, Market Research, Economics, Finance, Operations, and Computer Programming.
