Dan Blake

Co-Founder & COO at Florence

Dan Blake is the co-founder and COO of Florence, a startup that is shaking up the way people think about money. Prior to Florence, Dan was the Head of Business Control and Financial Risk at Deutsche Bank's Securities Services division. In this role, Dan was responsible for managing the financial and non-financial risks for the division.

Before Deutsche Bank, Dan worked at HSBC as the Global eFX COO. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the eFX business, including managing risk and compliance.

Prior to their work in the financial sector, Dan served as an infantry officer in the British Army. Dan served for five years, from 2002 to 2007.

Dan is a passionate advocate for financial inclusion and has dedicated their career to making financial products and services more accessible to everyone. Dan is a driving force behind Florence's mission to help people take control of their finances and build a better future.

Dan Blake completed a Master of Science in Chemistry at The University of Edinburgh.

Dan Blake reports to Charles Armitage, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Atish Patel - Head of Finance, Tom Wilshere - Chief Technology Officer, and Derek Brown - Managing Director, Team Scotland & North.
