Ad Melkert

Ad Melkert is a governance expert with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. They serve as the President of the Dutch Hospital Association, advocating for accessible and high-quality public healthcare. Previously, they held prominent positions including Minister of Social Affairs and Employment, Member of the Board of Directors at the World Bank, and Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq. Currently, they hold various advisory and supervisory roles across different sectors, including digital infrastructure and investments in Afghanistan, while also engaging as a senior independent adviser and speaker on global development topics. Ad holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam and is pursuing executive coaching at Georgetown University.
