The U.S. National Science Foundation Florida Semiconductor Engine was launched in 2024 to power economic prosperity across Florida by transforming the semiconductor industry, advancing collaborative research and innovation, and building a skilled workforce. The Engine brings together major Florida Research institutions, global and domestic industry leaders, entrepreneurs, government, nonprofits, and economic and workforce development partners to support the reshoring of the semiconductor advanced packaging industry.
