Scott Abbott

Scott Abbott has extensive experience in the sports industry, currently serving as a Sports Broadcaster for FloSports since December 2017 and as Co-Founder/Director for the California Coalition of Endurance Sports since August 2020, where responsibilities include leading government affairs and public advocacy efforts. Abbott holds the position of Executive Director for the California International Marathon and Director of Strategic Partnerships and External Relations for the Sacramento Running Association, both since 2013. Additionally, Abbott is a Professor of Sport Management at the University of San Francisco since January 2013. Previous experience includes a role in Community Relations with the Los Angeles Lakers/Sparks and involvement with the United States Olympic Committee's Coaching Division. Educational qualifications include a BA in Communications from UCLA and an MA in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
