Jason Marsh has a long and varied work experience. Jason started their career in 1992 as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Apple. In 1994, they moved to ESCAtech Media, Inc. as VP of Engineering. In 1999, they founded MarshWorks, where they developed educational software for the Institute for Research on Learning, Cisco Systems, and Altus365. Jason also created innovative systems for convenient and rapid knowledge sharing on the web with early audio and video streaming technologies. In 2003, they founded Sierra Montessori Academy, a K-8 public charter school based on the educational principals of Maria Montessori and Project-Based Learning. In 2006, they joined Acesis, Inc. as Chief Information Architect, where they focused on product and user experience design. In 2015, they became CEO/Co-founder of Flow Immersive, Inc., a SaaS company focused on data storytelling for the metaverse. At MarshWorks, they also worked as an Owner, Virtual Reality Information Architect and Digital Artist, focusing on WebVR using ThreeJS, AngularJS, Google Cardboard, and Samsung's GearVR.

Jason Marsh attended Berklee College of Music from 1984 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Violin Performance. Jason then attended San Jose State University from 1989 to 1991, where they obtained a Masters of Music in Composition. In 2017, they attended Singularity University, though they did not receive a degree.
