Joel J. began their career in 2006 as a CFD Engineer, Sales and Marketing at Flow Science, Inc. In 2008, they moved to ANSYS, Inc. as an Application Engineer II. In 2009, they returned to Flow Science, Inc. as a Senior CFD Engineer, Sales. In 2016, they became the Business Owner of Simulated Engineering, Inc.

Joel J. received their MS in Aerospace Engineering from Wichita State University in 2005, where they specialized in Aerodynamics, Experimental and Computational. Prior to that, they earned their MS in Mechanical Engineering from Wright State University in 2003, with a minor specialization in Structural FEM and optimization.
