John Wendelbo

John Wendelbo has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and sales fields. John began their career in 1998 as a Naval Architect for Saipem. In 1999, they took on the role of Project Engineer for Francis Design - Naval Architects. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Research Assistant (numerical modeling of internal waves) and PhD candidate for the Marine Science Department at UNC Chapel Hill. John then moved to the Graduate School of Oceanography - URI as a Research Assistant (air-sea interactions) and PhD candidate, where they studied geophysical fluid dynamics and air-sea interactions phenomena. In 2008, they became a Project Manager for Carolina Bronze. Finally, in 2013, they joined Flow Science, Inc. as the Director of Sales and Senior CFD Engineer.

John Wendelbo has an extensive educational background. John began their studies in 1992 at Imperial College London, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. In 1994, they engaged in an ERASMUS exchange student program at RWTH Aachen University, where they studied Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. John then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Maritime Engineering Science at the University of Southampton in 1997-1998. From 2002-2004, they were a PhD Candidate and Research Assistant at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, studying Physical Oceanography. John then completed a Research Assistant position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2004-2006, where they studied Numerical modeling of oceanic internal wave propagation.
