Alessandra brings more than 10 years of flow cytometry and immunology experience to her role with FlowMetric S.p.A. She began her flow cytometry career in a world-renowned research laboratory at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD, US. After returning to Italy, Alessandra joined a research team at Humanitas, a highly specialized hospital and research center, where she further developed her flow cytometry expertise by designing and optimizing 28-color panels for phenotypic and functional characterization of human immune cells for clinical studies.
Alessandra joined FlowMetric Europe S.p.A. in October 2018, where she is leading the high complexity flow cytometry projects and manages the laboratory in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Alessandra holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine from the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele, Milan, Italy, and earned her Ph.D. in Immunology from The Open University, Milton Keynes, UK. She is an author of more than 15 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and attended many scientific meetings with poster and oral presentations.
