Jonathan Barr

Jonathan Barr is the Nuclear Segment Leader at Flowserve Corporation and a former Assistant Director for Nuclear Energy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. With a background at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from 2006 to 2023, Jonathan led prominent projects focused on safety improvements following significant events such as the 9/11 attacks and the Fukushima disaster. Jonathan holds a Master of Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA in Energy Finance and Strategy from the University of Maryland, and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University. They combine quantitative analysis with leadership and communication skills to drive advancements in energy technologies and policy.
