Matthew Nelson

Matthew Nelson is an experienced engineer with a robust background in research and development, electrical engineering, and hardware testing. Currently serving as a Research and Development Engineer at Flowserve Corporation since September 2019, Matthew has previously worked as an Electrical Engineer IV at Action Target, where responsibilities included maintaining shooting range designs and assisting with production builds. Prior to that, Matthew held positions at National Oilwell Varco, where achievements included designing testing fixtures and obtaining IECEX certification for network components, as well as working as an Electrical Engineer at Grant Prideco, contributing to the design of intrinsically safe battery packs. Matthew began his career as an Electronics Technician at Novatek Inc., where a significant project involved developing a fixture for detecting faults in wiring systems. Matthew holds a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Weber State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics and Computer Technology from Utah Valley University.
