Alistair McKay

Alistair McKay is an experienced executive in the mining and engineering sectors, currently serving as VP Mining Capital for Europe, Arabia & Africa at FLSmidth since February 2021. With a track record of strategic leadership in capital and aftermarket business development across the regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia, Alistair has managed significant projects, including delivering a $60 million brownfield project amidst challenging circumstances. Previous roles include Project Director at ELB Engineering, where significant success was achieved with the Gamsberg Zinc Concentrator, and Business Development Executive at SNC-Lavalin, focusing on the African and Middle Eastern markets. Alistair holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Structural Engineering from the University of Pretoria and completed the Management Advancement Program at the University of the Witwatersrand.
