Fernando Marques

Fernando Marques serves as the Global Director of Upgrade Services at FLSmidth since August 2023, where responsibilities include building the Global Upgrades Service Line from the ground up, encompassing vision development, strategic planning, organizational structuring, budget management, and team leadership. Prior experience includes roles as Global Product Line Manager at Sandvik, where product line strategies were crafted to ensure profitability, and Global Product Manager at Metso Outotec, where a €12 million product was developed ahead of schedule, achieving significant cost savings. Fernando Marques also held various engineering and management positions at Bain & Company and Outotec, leading initiatives in automation and service engineering while pursuing an MBA from IESE Business School and a short program at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
