Steve Harris

Steve Harris is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the design and development of industrial equipment. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at FLSmidth since January 1995, Steve leads a department of 14 product engineers, focusing on primary crushing equipment, including gyratory and jaw crushers. Prior roles at FLSmidth included Product Engineer and Senior Application Engineer, where responsibilities included preparing high-value proposals and delivering competitive solutions to clients. Previously, Steve worked as a Design Engineer at Worcester Controls UK LTD, specializing in industrial ball valves and actuators, and gained early experience as a Student Trainee at British Nuclear Fuels, Ltd, as well as a Student Apprentice at Rolls Royce, Ltd. Steve holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Coventry University.
