Steve Merrill

Steve Merrill has extensive experience in the mining and metallurgy sectors, currently serving as Product Line Manager - Flotation at FLSmidth since December 2019. Prior roles include Senior Process Engineer at Bechtel Mining & Metals and Senior Metallurgist at Freeport-McMoRan, where responsibilities encompassed optimizing processes for copper/moly concentrate production and managing quality systems. Previous positions include Quality Engineer and Analytical Lab Supervisor, focusing on ISO certification and laboratory sample management, respectively. Steve's career began as a Metallurgical Engineer, with initial experience gained as an intern in multiple organizations following a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah.
