Shane Means

Shane Means has a comprehensive work experience in the technology industry. Shane currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Flueid, an independent technology company focused on streamlining real estate transactions. Prior to this role, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Flueid.

Before joining Flueid, Shane worked at Procore Technologies as an Engineering Manager for three years and as a Senior Software Engineer for one year. At Agilysys, they served as an Engineering Manager and a Senior Software Engineer, where they gained expertise in various technologies such as Spring, Java, Mongo, jaxrs, Maven, AngularJS, grunt, Ansible, and Docker. Shane also led the development of an Analytic reporting product that consolidated data from multiple source Point of Sale systems.

In the earlier stages of their career, Shane worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer at PAR Springer-Miller, where they developed a WPF Client to configure and operate their Property Management System. Shane also designed the Accounting Module included in the system and led an offshore development team. At Agilysys, they held roles as a Software Development Manager and a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed a WPF Client for cross product reporting and Microsoft Reporting Services reports. Shane also led development teams in creating content for the WPF client.

Shane began their career as a Software Engineer at InfoGenesis, where they developed a Smart Client application for generating MDX queries and gathering metadata from backend Analysis Services cubes.

Overall, Shane Means has gained significant experience in engineering management, software development, and working with various technologies throughout their career.

Shane Means completed their Bachelor of Computer Science degree at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2000 to 2002. Later, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from California State University Channel Islands Extended University between 2014 and 2017.
