Head Of Software at Fluence World

Andrew Schofield has been working in the software engineering field since 1976. Andrew began their career as an Electronic Engineer at British Coal (MRDE), where they developed real time supervisory and control systems for the mining industry in the UK. Andrew then moved to Landis & Gyr AG, where they worked as a Software Developer, creating real time supervisory systems for the power generation industry. In 1985, they joined Tandem Computers as a Consultant Software Engineer, working in the High Performance Research Center to develop prototypes, measure and enhance the performance of existing products, and consult on customer performance issues. Andrew then became a Software Designer/Developer, where they designed and developed a distributed transaction system (Reliable Transaction Router) still in use at several stock exchanges. Andrew then became a Development Lead, and when Compaq acquired Tandem, they spun their business unit to form TAN TAU software which was later acquired by 724 Solution Inc. In 1998, they joined 724 Solutions as Director of Engineering. In 2010, they moved to Mobixell Networks, where they served as Director of Engineering. From 2015 to 2020, they worked part-time as a Lecturer in Operating Systems at IBZ. In 2020, they joined Fluence World as Head of Software, where they designed and implemented high-performance algorithms for Fluence. World using standard and proprietary techniques. Andrew also developed embedded software for Siemens Building Technologies and for data acquisition and logging in Switzerland.

Andrew Schofield attended Wolsingham Grammar School from 1967 to 1973. Andrew then went on to the University of Cambridge, where they obtained an MA in Electrical Sciences between 1973 and 1976.
