Senior Software Engineer at Fluence World

Rob Ward has worked in the software engineering field since 1978. Rob began their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge, followed by a Senior Systems Developer position at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). In 1985, they moved to Ascom, where they were a Senior Systems Developer. From 1988 to 1997, Rob worked as a Senior Architect and Lead Developer at Olsen & Associates AG. Rob then joined 724 Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead from 1997 to 2010. For the next seven years, Rob was a Senior Software Architect at Landis+Gyr, where they were part of the CTO team and implemented a prototype transactive energy solution. Since 2018, Rob has been a Freelance Consultant and Systems Architect at Ward Software Architects. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Fluence World, developing machine learning and linguistic analysis software.

Rob Ward attended the University of Cambridge from 1975 to 1978, where they earned a B.A. and M.A. in General Engineering and Computer Science.
