Steven Bloomfield has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Steven began their career as an Electronic Validation Engineer at GenRad, where they worked on diagnostic testing for the prototype of Jaguar XK8 sports car. Steven then moved on to Brimar as an Electronic Test Engineer on a contract basis.

In 1997, Bloomfield joined the British Council as a Web team - Country Page Assistant, where they were responsible for producing and maintaining a Remote Authoring System for the organization's website. During this time, they gained experience in HTML and ensured consistent design across all council offices globally.

Bloomfield then ventured into freelance work in 1997, where they worked as a Freelance Web Designer/Developer. Steven enhanced their skills in HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, Perl, Apache, SEO, and Photoshop, while working on various projects including plumbing websites and adult-oriented websites.

In 1998, Bloomfield became a Web Manager and Webmaster for Root101 Limited, where they applied SEO techniques to improve search engine results for Virtual Manchester. Steven continued in this position until 2003.

From 2002 to 2012, Bloomfield served as a Technical Director at Greystone Telecom Limited. Steven focused on maintaining and building IT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity, IT budget control, and providing technical consultancy and support. Steven was also involved in telecoms billing, CRM systems research, and PBX phone system programming and maintenance.

Starting from 2012, Bloomfield took on the roles of Operations Director and Technical Director at UK IT Networks Limited. Steven implemented various cloud services and was responsible for improving CRM workflow, website content and functionality, IT infrastructure, and support and telecoms billing. Bloomfield also used Draytek routers, WiFi, and PoE switches to enhance the company's infrastructure.

In 2018, Bloomfield joined Sigma42 Limited as a Director, followed by their appointment as Chief Technology Officer at Zebra Software in the same year. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Fluid, starting from 2022.

Steven Bloomfield attended The Manor School from 1983 to 1988, where they earned their A Level degree in Physics, Maths, and Electronics. Following this, they enrolled at Sheffield Hallam University from 1990 to 1993 and graduated with an HND in IT. During their time at Sheffield Hallam University, their studies focused on various subjects such as data communications, protocols & networks, electronics, programming C & Pascal, and systems engineering. It is worth mentioning that they also hold a certification in DCNA from DrayTek UK, although the exact date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
