John Merry

John Merry has over 35 years of work experience, beginning in 1983 as a Design Engineer/Department Supervisor at Lintech Instruments. John then moved on to Cambridge Mass Spectrometry - Kratos Analytical in 1986 as a Manufacturing Manager, where they reported to the Managing Director and had responsibility for manufacturing. In 1991, they were appointed Managing Director of ElectraMed Ltd, the UK's leading independent laboratory instrument service company. John then moved on to Camlab Ltd in 2006 as Head of Service for Camlab and Business Development Manager LabService Ltd. From 2011 to 2018, they held two roles at Thorlabs, first as Tables BU Leader including Head of Quality Eng., and then as Business Unit Leader, Motion Control and Tables Manufacturing. In 2018, they took on the role of Production Manager at Fluidic Analytics.

John Merry attended Netherhall Boys School from 1966 to 1971 and CCAT from 1971 to 1976, where they studied MVCS + IEEE.
