Duncan Stevenson

Duncan Stevenson is a seasoned engineer and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the engineering and medical device sectors. As CTO and Founder of fluidIQ since January 2020, Duncan played a pivotal role in developing a novel fluidic respirator to address the Covid pandemic, subsequently identifying opportunities for improvement in rescue resuscitation devices. Previously, Duncan worked as an Innovation Engineer at HPE Hydro Power Equipment from 2012 to 2022, and as a Mechanical Engineering master's student at Wits University, focusing on quantitative color schlieren techniques. Early career roles included project management and engineering at St Francis Marine, mechanics positions in motorsport, and finance roles in customer relations. Duncan holds a Master’s degree in Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
