Alan Whelan

Alan Whelan is an accomplished professional in cloud security engineering, currently serving as the Senior Cloud Security Engineering Manager at Flutter Entertainment Plc since November 2023. With extensive experience at Paddy Power Betfair since November 2015, Alan has held multiple roles including Cloud Security Engineering Manager, Infrastructure Security Engineer Lead, Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer, and Infrastructure Security Engineer. Prior to this, Alan worked as an Information Security Consultant at Rits Information Security from March 2012 to November 2015, where responsibilities included network vulnerability assessments, data recovery, and security audits. Alan holds a Master of Science in Information Security and Digital Forensics and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Information Security and Digital Forensics from Technological University Dublin, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Computer System Management from the Institute of Technology, Carlow.
