Mo Bammeke has had a varied career since 2009. Mo began their career as an Intern (Oil and Gas Insurance) at JLT Group in 2009. Mo then moved to Common Purpose in 2011 as a Finance Administrator. In 2012, Mo Bammeke joined Deutsche Bank as a Business Control Analyst - Global Debt Trading and J.P. Morgan as a Risk and Control Manager - EMEA. In this role, they identified risk and control gaps and maintained effective controls to manage operational risk within EMEA banking business, delivered effective controls to ensure regulatory compliance, executed risk management and regulatory change strategies (including regulatory reporting), and had data privacy oversight - GDPR. Mo also held the roles of COO Project Manager and Business Manager - Global Trade Finance at J.P. Morgan, where they developed and managed global capacity planning models and led process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives for global trade. Additionally, they were a Client Service Analyst - OTC Equity Derivatives, where they managed a portfolio of global clients and built and sustained strong working relationships with clients. Most recently, Mo Bammeke has been the Chief Compliance Officer at Flutterwave since 2019.
Mo Bammeke obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics from the University of Abuja. In 2008, they began a Master of Science (MSc) in Economics, Accounting and Finance at the University of Bristol and completed it in 2009. In December of 2009, they obtained a SAP Certified Application Associate - Financial Accounting with SAP ERP 6.0 from SAP Global. In October of 2010, they obtained a PRINCE2 FOUNDATION from APM Group. Finally, in July of 2020, they obtained an ICA Advanced Certificate in AML from the International Compliance Association.
