Mohamed Makarem

Mohamed Makarem, CAMS, currently serves as the Country Compliance Officer at Flutterwave, beginning in January 2025. Prior to this role, Mohamed held the position of Compliance Director at Tanmeyah Micro Enterprise Services from April 2023 to February 2025, overseeing regulatory compliance and financial crime management. Mohamed's extensive experience includes roles such as Associate Director of Compliance Quality Assurance at EFG Hermes and Head of AML and Financial Crime at Arab African International Bank. Notably, during a significant tenure at HSBC, roles included Country Quality Assurance Manager for Anti-Money Laundering and Senior Investigator in Financial Crime Compliance.
