Opeoluwa Abitoye

Opeoluwa Abitoye is the current Head of Global Account Management at Flutterwave. Opeoluwa has extensive experience in sales and marketing, having served as Head, Sales and Marketing at PayU Nigeria, where they were a pioneer member of the team. Opeoluwa was responsible for building the merchant portfolio, managing merchants relationships, expanding the merchant portfolio, selling and creating awareness for the brand, registering and onboarding new merchants, and ensuring the smooth running of merchants and the constant uptime of the platform. Prior to their time at PayU, they served as a Product Manager for Digital Payments Solutions at GTBank and as a Relationship Manager for Oil&Gas/Private Banking/HNI at GTBank. Opeoluwa began their career at GTBank as a Graduate Trainee in November 2009 before becoming a Marketing Intern in August 2008.

Opeoluwa Abitoye's educational career includes a certificate in sustainable business strategy from Harvard Business School Online, a master of science in international finance from Anglia Ruskin University, and a BSc in banking and finance from Babcock University.

Opeoluwa Abitoye works with Omosalewa Adeyemi - SVP, Global expansions and Partnerships, Oluwaseun Nwelih - Head of Customer Experience, and Ernest Terry Obi - Head of Global Sales & UK Business. Opeoluwa Abitoye reports to Ife Orioke, Chief Commercial Officer.
