Software Engineer at Flux

Allen Sun has worked in the software engineering and research fields since 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Houston, where they researched Bitcoin & Blockchain and their applications in Logistics and trading, and assisted in developing an online marketplace based on Ethereum. In 2018, they worked as a Research Staff at the University of Houston, where they did statistical analysis and data reconfiguration, as well as coordinated the Global Leadership Program. In 2019, they worked as a Research Assistant at San, where they learned and tested education tools, such as Scratch, for CS classes in elementary schools. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at MID Industrial Tools, where they configured and maintained an Apache server for Django, deployed it on Google Cloud to improve scaling, and accomplished DSN configuration and implemented SSL certificates. Allen also revamped the frontend with React and TypeScript, and implemented Redux to facilitate communication and sharing of data across components. Allen is currently working as a Software Engineer at Flux.

Allen Sun obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Zhejiang University City College in 2015. Allen then pursued a Master's degree in Finance, General from the University of Houston, which they completed in 2018. In 2019, they began a Master's degree in Computer Science at San Francisco State University, which they are currently pursuing.
