Simon Pyroth

Autonomy Lead Engineer at Flyability

Simon Pyroth has worked in various roles since 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Student Teaching Assistant at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and a Student Teacher at Guigoo. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Intern at senseFly SA, where they designed drone hardware and software, including prototyping, testing and validation of mechanical components, electrical hardware and software algorithms. From 2016 to 2017, they were an Intern at the Laboratory of Intelligent Systems, EPFL, where they designed a Kalman filter to fuse measurements from different sensors. From 2017 onwards, they have held the roles of Autonomy Lead Engineer, Sensing Lead Engineer, Firmware Engineer and Master thesis & internship at Flyability.

Simon Pyroth obtained a Maturit\u00e9 Gymnasiale from Gymnase de Burier in 2008-2011, a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ecole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne in 2011-2014, and a Master of Science (MSc) in Microengineering from EPFL (\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne) in 2015-2017. Simon also obtained a First Certificate in English (FCE) from the University of Cambridge in December 2010 and a Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from the University of Cambridge in July 2011.
