Cherae Robinson

Cherae Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Cherae is currently working at Flybridge as the Head of Community since May 2022. Prior to that, in 2014, they founded and served as the CEO of Tastemakers Africa, a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting local insiders to travelers interested in experiencing Africa beyond safaris. Cherae'srole involved building partnerships and campaigns with notable organizations such as Uber, Radisson Blu, AFROPUNK, and South African Airways.

Before starting their own venture, Cherae worked as the Business Development Manager at Medikidz Limited from February 2014 to July 2014. Cherae also held the position of Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development at CIMMYT from January 2011 to September 2013. During their time at CIMMYT, they played a key role in developing new funding opportunities, collaborative partnership models, and enhancing external communications.

Cherae's previous experiences include working as an External Relations Officer and Media Officer at CARE from February 2009 to January 2011. Cherae'sresponsibilities included managing the external events calendar, strategic direction, and targeted outreach to media outlets. Cherae also worked as the Public Relations & Marketing Manager at WINGS Program Inc. from November 2007 to November 2008, where they focused on generating visibility for the organization and organizing media advisories and conferences.

Before that, they served as a Global Health Specialist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from August 2006 to November 2007, where they enhanced the visibility of the WHO Global Salm-Surv program. Cherae's career started as a Staff Associate at AARP-Office of International Affairs from November 2005 to August 2006, where they contributed to research and communications initiatives.

Cherae Robinson completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Morgan State University. Cherae pursued their undergraduate education from 2001 to 2006.
