Nicole Smith

Nicole Smith has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2000. Nicole began their career as a Product Manager at Ripcord, where they conducted customer research, created a product roadmap and defined the feature set for a mobile field services app. In 2001, they joined Microsoft as a Marketing Manager for the WW Business Marketing Organization, where they were selected for the WW BMO High Potential Program for Marketers in 2005. From 2005 to 2013, Nicole was self-employed as a Microsoft Marketing Consultant. In 2013, they founded Flytographer, a marketplace that connects people with hand-picked local photographers in cities around the world for fun, hassle-free vacation photo shoots. In 2016, Nicole joined VIATEC as a Board Member and in 2018, they joined The Forum as a Board Member.

Nicole Smith attended Simon Fraser University where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing and International Business. In 2005, they attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and completed executive training courses through Microsoft’s “high potential program” for marketers in the field of strategy and marketing. Nicole also earned a Spanish Language Certificate from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
