Benjamin Sonin

Benjamin Sonin is a software developer at Flywire since February 2018, with a strong background in fluid dynamics and numerical modeling. Prior experience includes serving as a graduate student researcher at Northwestern University, where Benjamin focused on turbulent flow modeling and co-developed a particle physics model while mentoring students and collaborating on multidisciplinary projects. Additionally, Benjamin interned at Argonne National Laboratory, optimizing software performance through profiling and multithreading techniques, and worked as a research assistant at Tulane University, utilizing computing resources for simulations. Benjamin holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Tulane University.
