Rares Smeu

Rares Smeu is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing and enhancing applications across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Flywire since July 2022, Rares has significantly improved the invoice management application and created a new application for ERP integration. Prior roles include Senior Software Developer at 8x8, where Rares worked on a microservices architecture using Java and Spring, and Senior Software Engineer positions at iQuest Group, focused on B2C telecom e-commerce applications built on SAP Hybris. Rares’ career began as a Software Engineer at USOURCE Technology, developing e-commerce solutions, and further experience includes building custom functionality for telecom providers. Rares holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Universitatea Transilvania din Brașov and studied at Colegiul Național de Informatică "Grigore Moisil" Brașov.
