Stefan Anghel

Stefan Anghel is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Flywire since December 2017, Stefan previously held the position of Engineering Manager. Prior to Flywire, Stefan was the Web Development Team Lead at VIAIQ, contributing to an e-invoicing and e-payments web solution. With a strong background in Java and related technologies, Stefan has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Wolters Kluwer and NTT DATA Romania, focusing on Java-based applications in the banking sector. Early career roles included Java Developer positions at AROBS Transilvania Software and BG Soft, specializing in pharmaceutical and transportation applications. Stefan holds a Master's degree in Communication Networks and Distributed Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, complemented by a college degree in Mathematics & Informatics.
