Alix Whitener

U.s. Field Development Manager

Alix Whitener is an experienced professional in the field of entomology, currently serving as the U.S. Field Development Manager and previously as the Technical Services Manager at FMC Corporation since May 2018. With a Ph.D. in Entomology from Washington State University, obtained in 2018, Alix has significant research experience, including a role as a Graduate Research Assistant focused on the invasive insect pest, Drosophila suzukii, from 2013 to 2018. Alix also completed a research internship at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences under Dr. Peter Witzgall, conducting behavioral experiments on the same pest. Earlier experiences include working as a Lab/Field Technician at the WSU Wenatchee Tree Fruit Research & Extension Center, where responsibilities involved mite bioassays and fieldwork from 2009 to 2013. Alix holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Anthropology from Western Washington University, earned in 2013.
