Jeff Long

Jeff Long has over three decades of experience in the field of research and development, primarily within the agrochemical industry. Currently serving as a Global R&D Fellow at FMC Corporation since November 2017, Jeff Long directs programs focused on the discovery and optimization of new actives. Prior to this role, an extensive tenure at DuPont from June 1989 to November 2017 included positions such as Technical Fellow, Senior Research Associate, and Research Chemist, where Jeff Long led various discovery programs and contributed significantly to insect control, animal health, and plant disease control research. Jeff Long's early career included a role at Lubrizol as a Research Chemist, where contributions included co-inventing a patent for fuel additives. Jeff Long earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a BS in Chemistry from Westminster College.
