Leonie Wenning

Leonie Wenning is a research scientist with extensive experience in the field of microbial biotechnology. Currently employed at FMC Corporation since November 2022, Leonie previously worked at BioPhero from August 2018 to November 2022 and held the position of Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at Chalmers tekniska högskola from April 2014 to December 2018, where research focused on enhancing wax ester synthesis in engineered strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Leonie's academic background includes a PhD from Chalmers University of Technology, an MSc from the University of Münster, and a BSc from the same institution, complemented by research experience at Evolva SA and University College Dublin as well as early-stage research in the Marie Curie YEASTCELL ITN program.
