Martijn Woudstra is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment management, currently serving as a Senior Investment Officer at FMO since February 2008. In this role, Martijn focuses on origination, structuring, contracting, monitoring, and exiting private equity investments across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, while also participating as a member of over ten Limited Partner Advisory Committees. Previous positions include serving as the FMO Ventures Program Manager (ad interim) and Senior Portfolio Analyst, managing equity portfolios in Asia and analyzing investment proposals as a Credit Analyst. Prior experience includes working as an Assistant Fund Manager at Triodos Bank N.V., where Martijn managed portfolios for renewable energy funds and contributed to the establishment of the Global Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund (GEEREF). Early career experience as an Assistant Controller at ADSE Consulting and Engineering involved managing expenses and receivables. Martijn holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Leiden University and earlier educational qualifications in Humanities from Colegio El Placer and Christelijk Lyceum Gouda.
