Bob began his exciting career in the Marine Corps as a combat cameraman doing films for the Department of Defense. His mission was to chronicle various types of military movements and provide imagery for a variety of purposes. It’s a dangerous but essential role, and due to the potentially sensitive images and information gleaned during filming, it requires a secret security clearance. This weighty responsibility, technical experience, and demand for an impeccable character provided a firm foundation for Bob’s future. Once retired from the Corps, Bob joined AVHQ as a video engineer and project manager, heading up all different kinds of high-end events. Bob then climbed to Director of Audio Visual for the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point, a position that helped him make stable connections with many Fortune 500 companies and realize his desire to own his own AV firm. In 1996, Bob began partnering with FNTECH on larger events, which ultimately led him to join the company as a co-owner in 2010. Over the last 10+ years, Bob’s leadership has helped guide FNTECH from a start-up gear house to a successful, full-service production company with scores of repeat clients. Today, Bob spends most of his time overseeing the company’s financial aspects, ensuring FNTECH is solidly in the black and primed for future growth. Whenever he has a moment to spare, you’ll likely find Bob on the nearest golf course, practicing his swing, de-stressing from the week, and forging strong relationships near the 19th hole.
