Steve Thomas

Steve Thomas has over 34 years of work experience in the financial services industry. Steve is currently working as the Head of Product - Australia at FNZ Group since June 2023. Previously, they worked as a Freelance Consultant from May 2022 to June 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at Praemium, including Head of Product from September 2019 to April 2022 and Manager - Self Invested and International Solutions from May 2018 to September 2019. Steve also worked at Netwealth - Investment & Superannuation as the Head of Managed Accounts - Strategy & Development from September 2014 to April 2018. Steve has experience working at Colonial First State Custom Solutions as the Head of Platform Strategy from October 2012 to July 2014, Head of Product Solutions from May 2009 to September 2012, and General Manager Product & Distribution from October 2007 to April 2009. Before that, they worked at Avanteos as the General Manager Product from February 2006 to September 2007 and as a Product Manager from July 2002 to February 2006. Steve also worked at Aviva Australia as the Platform Development Manager from August 2001 to July 2002 and as a Product Manager - External Products from April 2000 to August 2001. Steve'searlier work experience includes a role as a Product Manager - Master Trusts at Australian Unity from February 1999 to April 2000 and various administration, product, IS, and marketing roles at AXA from April 1988 to December 1998.

Steve Thomas has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Victoria University and a Bachelor of Business (Economics) from Deakin University. Steve also holds a WSET 2 certification in Wine Appreciation from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and a Diploma of Financial Planning from Monarch Institute. In addition, they are certified as a SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager by Scaled Agile, Inc.
