Michele Iodice

Michele Iodice has extensive experience in engineering and research, with a specialization in algorithms and acoustics. Michele currently works at FocalPoint as a Principal Algorithms Engineer, where they are responsible for leading algorithm development, scoping and planning tasks, and aligning team efforts with the company roadmap. Michele also worked at Ultraleap as a Senior Research and Development Engineer, focusing on acoustics, and previously at the University of Southampton, where they obtained a PhD in Sound and Vibration Research. Earlier in their career, Michele worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at POLIEDRO S.R.L. SERVIZI TECNICI COSTRUZIONI STRADALI and as a Qualified Football Referee for the Associazione Italiana Arbitri.

Michele Iodice has a strong educational background in civil engineering. They obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Università di Pisa between 2004 and 2008. Following this, Michele pursued a Master's degree in the same field from the same institution, completing it from 2009 to 2012. Michele furthered their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Southampton between 2013 and 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Michele has acquired several certifications. They obtained a certificate in "Python Classes and Inheritance" from Coursera in April 2020. In October 2019, Michele earned a certificate in "Initiation à la programmation (en C++)" from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne also on Coursera. They completed courses on "Sequence Models" and "Machine Learning" from Coursera in April and March 2018, respectively. Michele also obtained a "C++ Tutorial Course" certification from SoloLearn in January 2018.

Michele has obtained professional certifications as well. They successfully completed the "Superamento dell'esame di Stato per l'abilitazione all'esercizio della professione di Ingegnere - Settore Civile Ambientale, sezione A" from Università di Pisa in February 2013. Additionally, they completed a course on "Corso di formazione per la sicurezza del lavoro nel settore civile" from Università di Pisa. Michele holds a TOEFL Language Certificate with a score of 97 out of 120 from The IELTS TOEFL Centre.
