Connitha Tyrer

Connitha Tyrer is the current Operations Director at Focus Academy. Connitha has previous experience as a General Manager, Controller, and Cost Accountant.

Connitha Tyrer began their career in 1994 as a Cost Accountant at Mallinckrodt. In 2000, they became the Controller at Metalforming Technologies. In 2005, they became the Controller at Volunteer Automotive, Magna International. In 2006, they became the General Manager at Ravago.

During their time as General Manager at Ravago, Connitha Tyrer achieved 180% of 2011 Plan EBT. Connitha increased production volumes by 30% while limiting manpower increase to 5 hourly employees through restructuring and clearly defining responsibilities of staff within 14 days of taking position. Voluntary turnover was reduced to less than 1% through weekly shift meetings facilitated by managers on a rotating basis, implementing an employee suggestion box, investing $50k in break room and locker room renovations and creating employee scrap program to generate quarterly bonuses of no less than $75 per employee. Customer delivery was improved by 80% through development of a planning tool that systematically captured incoming orders, daily inventory levels, pending scheduled product and customer forecasts.

In December 2012, Connitha Tyrer left Ravago to become the Operations Director at Focus Academy.

Connitha Tyrer received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Transylvania University.
