John O'CONNOR

John O'Connor has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John began their career at Hewlett-Packard, where they served as the NSW Sales Manager for the State Government and later as the National Cluster Manager. John then joined CA Technologies as a Solution Strategist.

In 2012, John became the CEO and Technology Investor at MeetLinkshare, where they set product and company direction, raised funds, recruited customers and partners, and established communication strategies for revenue growth. John also invested in Australian technology start-ups with innovative intellectual property.

From 2014 to 2017, John worked at GiVV Technologies Ltd as the CFO, managing a self-service payment platform for the global gift card industry. This platform included features such as custom design selection, printing, activation, and coin counting functions.

In 2015, John set up Linx Payments in Denver, Colorado, as the General Manager. John collaborated with Australian software provider Givv Technologies and a US partner to implement and customize the software platform for a new industry opportunity.

John then transitioned to Project Focus HQ in 2017, serving as the CEO. John later became the Global Head of Strategy and Investment at Focus HQ in 2020. Throughout their career, John has shown expertise in strategy, investment, leadership, business development, and technology implementation.

John O'Connor attended Swinburne University of Technology from 1989 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Accounting with a minor in Economics. Additionally, they also earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) with a specialization in Accounting and Finance during the same period.
