Jay Steele

Jay Steele is the Chief Executive Officer at Focus Learning Corporation, a role they currently hold. They also serve as CEO In Residence at The Brydon Group and as Owner/Co-Founder of CALCO Properties, LLC. Earlier in their career they worked at Amazon as Senior Business Development Manager for Amazon Shoplocal (2021–2022) and as Senior Vendor Manager, and they served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant from 2011 to 2016, including Lead Engineer roles at Naval Reactors. They earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School (2012–2014) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park (2007–2011). They earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (2018–2020) and a Nuclear Engineering Certificate from Bettis Reactor Engineering School (2012–2013).
