Bill Goebel has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bill currently serves as a School Board Member at Guilford County Schools, a position they have held since April 2023. Bill is also an Advisor at the Supreme Court of NC, where they serve as a subject matter expert for the Chief Justice's Task Force on ACEs-Informed Courts.

Prior to their current roles, Goebel was a Member of the Board of Directors at Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina starting from October 2022. From August 2020, they served as the Area President for FocusCFO, a leading CFO services provider for small and medium-sized businesses in the Midwest and Southeast.

Goebel has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Bill was the CEO of MPACT Maintenance & Reliability Solutions starting from September 2009. Bill also held the Vice Chair position for Boy Scouts National Service Territory 15 and served as the Past President of Area 7 at the Boy Scouts of America.

In terms of their earlier experience, Goebel was Past President at Bosquema Teak from 2001 to January 2020. Bill worked as the VP of New Business Development at MARS Advertising between 1992 and 1997, where they successfully developed $8.5 million in new business. Additionally, they held leadership roles at Unilever and Avon, including Director of Skin Care and Director of Production and Inventory Control International, respectively.

Throughout their career, Goebel has demonstrated a versatile skill set and a commitment to various organizations, ranging from education to child advocacy and business consulting.

Bill Goebel attended Padua Franciscan from 1964 to 1968, where they completed their high school education with a focus on college prep. Bill then enrolled at Cleveland State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBS) in Business Management from 1969 to 1974. Concurrently, in 1973 and 1974, they also attended Harvard University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in General studies. After a brief break in their education, Bill Goebel returned to Cleveland State University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Later, in 1978 and 1979, they attended Roosevelt University and acquired a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance.
