Justin Trobec

Justin Trobec is currently a Co-Founder at a company called Focused, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Twitter as a Staff Software Engineer from December 2012 to November 2022. In this role, they led the Performance Tools team and contributed to making the Twitter application faster through aggregating and visualizing end-user performance data. Justin also promoted performance engineering efforts across the company.

Before their time at Twitter, Justin was a Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from January 2010 to December 2012. Justin'swork focused on building prototypes and production systems to expose new features on the SERP. Justin also worked on developing a service for real-time auctions of internet display ad impressions.

Justin's career at Microsoft also included the role of Software Development Engineer II from November 2005 to January 2010, where they contributed to building a service that could scale to process 30-billion transactions per month. Justin also worked as a Support Escalation Engineer on the SQL Server Analysis Services Support Team from November 2005 to July 2008, providing support to customers and identifying and reporting product defects.

Prior to Microsoft, Justin worked as a Software Developer at Antares Technology Solutions, Inc from May 2004 to November 2005, where they primarily used the .NET platform to deliver custom business applications to corporate customers.

Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at Advanced Office Systems from January 2003 to May 2004, where they were involved in creating a 3-tiered application to automate the workflow of a multi-million dollar corporation.

Justin Trobec has a Master's of Information degree in Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master's of Computer Science degree from the University of Illinois System in 2010. Justin'sBachelor of Science degree in Information Technology was obtained from the University of Phoenix in 2005. Justin also holds an Associate degree in Fine Arts -- Music from Oakton College, which they earned in 2000.

Additionally, Justin Trobec obtained a certification in "Introduction to Probability and Data" from Coursera Course Certificates in June 2016.
