Melissa Smith is responsible for both the strategy and leadership of Fogelman’s corporate departments, including accounting, human resources, shared services and real estate services. Prior to Fogelman Melissa gained experience in both operations, training and IT through different roles at Summit Properties and then Insignia Management. She earned a BS in Business and Economics from Randolph-Macon College. Melissa is a frequent speaker at national industry events and contributor to publications such as NAA Newsletter, Multifamily Executive and MultiHousing News. Melissa gives back as a member of the financial audit committee and is an avid volunteer for Strut for Kids, a local organization helping families impacted by pediatric cancer.
