Johan Olsson

Johan Olsson is currently the Head of Department at FOI, a position they have held since 2025. Previously, Johan was Head of Injectable Aesthetics Science & Development and Head of CMC Medical Device Development at Galderma. Johan has also worked as a Manager and a Senior Scientist in Gel Chemistry and Process Development at Galderma from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they served as a Scientist at BioChromix AB and Glycom A/S, where they focused on synthesizing human milk oligosaccharides. Johan earned an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Linköping University and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Carbohydrate Chemistry from Stockholm University.
