Chief Servo Engineer at Folio Photonics

Ron Kadlec has a long and varied career in engineering. Ron began their career in 1982 as a Staff Design Engineer at IBM, where they were the Lead Servo Design Engineer on a Magneto-Optic disk drive product from concept to production. Ron then moved to Rodime in 1990, where they were a Principal Design Engineer and Lead servo design engineer for magnetic disk drive products. In the same year, they also worked as a Principal Engineer at DEC. In 1992, they joined Quantum as a Principal Design Engineer, where they were Lead servo control engineer on magnetic disk drive products from product conception to volume production. Ron then moved to DataPlay in 1999, where they were Principal Design Engineer and Lead servo control system engineer and manager on optical disk drive product from concept to production. Ron was granted numerous patents. In 2003, they joined Maxtor as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they were Technical Lead and Project Manager for prototyping new technologies onto existing products. In 2004, they returned to Quantum as a Principal Engineer, where they converged servo control system designs from two design centers. In 2007, they joined Medtronic as a Senior Principal System Engineer, where they were Algorithm Team Lead on 4 wavelength Regional Saturation (rSO2) product and SpO2 Monitor power optimization project. In 2006, they founded Kadlec Consulting LLC, where they provide expertise in Data Science, Algorithm Development, Control System Design, Project Management and Creation of Intellectual Property (76 patents). In 2015, they became Chief Servo Engineer at Folio Photonics.
