Folkin is a Danish design studio and publisher focused on table roleplay as a human-centered practice.

We create frames — worlds, systems, and experiences designed for people to explore together through play.

Our work moves across personal, creative, and professional contexts — from roleplaying games played with friends around a table to frameworks used within education, therapy, leadership, and social development.

At the center of Folkin is a simple idea: table roleplay is not primarily about what is on the table, but about who is around it.

The conversation, relationships, tensions, perspectives, and shared presence between people are what give play meaning.

We create worlds people can lose themselves in — because sometimes we need to step into another person to better understand ourselves, and sometimes we need to step into another world to better understand the one we live in.

Through projects like Frame, we develop minimalist systems designed to support dialogue, collective storytelling, immersion, and meaningful play across analogue, digital, and hybrid spaces.
