Alain Longpre

Alain Longpre is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in impact investing and corporate banking. Currently serving as Chef adjoint for Investissements d'impact et durables at Fondaction since September 2024, Alain previously held the position of Director of Mobilization and Blended Finance at FinDev Canada, where responsibilities included developing strategies to attract private sector capital. Alain's prior roles encompass Managing Director at Natixis CIB Americas, Executive Director in Corporate Banking and Project Finance at CIBC, Vice President of Infrastructure and Project Finance at Dexia, and Vice President of Loan Structuring and Syndication at National Bank Financial. Starting a career at Lucent Technologies, Alain brings a strong background in relationship management and financial structuring, backed by an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.
